Additionally, the Nokia N78 enables consumers to take full advantage of a suite of Nokia services, including the Nokia Music Store, Nokia Maps and Share on Ovi – the online service that enables consumers to share their personal media.

“The slim Nokia N78 fuses features in new ways,” says Andrew Cheong, Managing Director, Nokia Malaysia. “The integrated FM transmitter allows for tunes to be played via any car stereo. At the same time, the Nokia N78 features geotagging, which merges camera functionality and A-GPS to not only share pictures but the places where they were taken. The Nokia N78 is also compatible with a multitude of internet services such as Share on Ovi, Flickr or VOX blogs that enable consumers to create content right from the palm of their hand.”

Following in the footsteps of the popular Nokia N73, the slim and trim Nokia N78 packs a powerful range of technologies, including high-speed connectivity via WLAN and HSDPA 3.5G, and a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics for great image quality. When it comes to navigation, the Nokia N78 knows its way around with an integrated A-GPS. Also included is an integrated 3-month navigation license and free Nokia Maps with up to 15 million global points of interest such as bars, cafes, restaurants, hotels and more.

In Malaysia, the Nokia N78 is expected to retail for RM1,950. With its signature sleek black surface the Nokia N78 will be available in one of two stylish colours: cocoa brown and lagoon blue. Read on for more details.

The Nokia N78 is the first Nokia device to come with widgets enabled by Web Runtime technology. Today, widgets can be downloaded through Download! and MOSH, a mobile content distribution platform.

The Nokia N78 is also among the first handsets to come with the integrated FM transmitter. When connected "NOKIA" appears on the radio display indicating to the listeners that they have tuned into the correct music station - the Nokia N78. With its superb music quality and fully integrated Nokia Music Store, the Nokia N78 is a true companion for music lovers. The Nokia N78 supports microSD cards currently available up to 8GB, internal speakers and support for standard 3.5mm headphones, as well as Nokia Internet Radio, giving instant access to thousands of radio stations around the world.

The Brief

Geeks have now taken over the world. We spend more time typing than speaking, getting fit on a Wii, and buying iPods in matching colours. Foldess.com want cards that speak to this new generation of geeks, in ways that current greeting cards are not. They are currently looking for Birthday, Flirty, Office, Sorry and Thank You card ideas, but if you've got a card that's way out there for anything else, feel free to submit it as well, as long as it's within their geeky theme.

The Challenge

Participants are not allowed to use any raster images for your cards. All cards have to be created using only solid colour vector art in Adobe Illustrator. This excludes not only JPG or TIFF images, but also any form of shadowing, filters or transparencies of colour.

Wireless routers from Linksys

Linksys has announced three new routers in Malaysia. The new range features the Wireless-G Broadband Router (WRT54G2), the Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router (WRT160N) and the Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Gigabit Router (WRT310N). These new routers are the first models available in Malaysia that feature a stylish new design and come with improved usability features such as the Linksys Easylink Advisor (LELA), which helps simplify the set-up of the network, and helps assure that all devices and connections are stable and secure.

“The new range of routers showcases the way in which Linksys is taking Wireless-G and Wireless-N to new levels of design, performance and ease of use. We believe that the sleek new router design is sympathetic to modern living whereas traditional routers have been hidden in a cupboard or behind a curtain,” said Tang Boon Ping, Linksys Regional Sales Director, Asia. “But it is not only the design that make these products attractive – installing a home network with the wireless router or connecting additional devices is simplified with our new Linksys EasyLink Advisor including the improved set-up wizard.”

The routers are already available in Malaysia and they priced as follows; WRT54G2 at RM175, WRT160N at RM320 and WRT310N at RM469. Read on for more info.

New Form Factor

Designed to take the router out of the study and into the living room, the WRT54G2, WRT160N and the WRT310N all come with a shiny finish, alluring curves and slim profile which refreshes and revamp the industrial design on Linksys router models. These products were created to fit in virtually any home.

This new emphasis on design is not just a bold statement on form, but also an evolution of the functional aspects of the router. The new sleek design features an internal antenna technology which integrates the antenna into the router body without compromising signal coverage.

Linksys took an extensive approach to developing the new industrial designs. Detailed market research was conducted to reveal consumer preferences for design. Out of the over 160 designs that were reviewed, consumers showed preferences for sleek, contemporary designs which illustrated high performance and blended seamlessly with trendy homes or high trends office environments.

LELA: so far for techno talk!

Besides the new design, the WRT54G2, WRT160N and the WRT310N are shipped with the Linksys EasyLink Advisor (LELA) application, which is a technology advisor that helps setting up, managing and connecting additional products to the network. This simple-to-use software package is designed to take away the technical hassle setting up wireless network and helps keeping the network highly secure and connected.

LELA will automatically check for updates for all Linksys products on the network, and can securely configure other connected devices and computers. The intuitive interface can help simplify set-up and maintenance of a home network - making it easier and more accessible than ever before!

Users without networking experience can appreciate how LELA can help scan the network for issues, troubleshoot and attempt to resolve any potential conflicts. No more techno talk or passwords required.

Security with a push of a button

Helping to keeping a network safe and secure can be configured with just one simple button on the WRT54G2, WRT160N and the WRT310N. The WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) feature is designed to help make securing wireless devices easier. Simply push the WPS button on the router and on another WPS-enabled wireless device to automatically create an encrypted wireless connection between them.
